The world began as nothing but ocean. The Origins raised up a million colourful islands, anything larger than a few dozen miles being swallowed by the envious deep. Some of these immaterial beings chose to take a physical form and live in the varied lands they had created, eventually settling into the forms of men and beasts. Our ancestors.

The Origins that did not take physical form paid a great cost. They were left unable to affect their world directly, relying upon influencing men with words and knowledge. Their teachings led to our understanding of elemental balance, the formation of the thousand Legendary Styles and the universal code of combat that define our world today.

You are a great man or woman. An errant trained in both the noble art of combat and in contests of body and mind. Drifting from one island to another, you have your own philosophy on life and the power to enforce it.

A Wanderer’s Romance is a game of martial art duels and tea-making contests set in a world of unnatural islands on an endless sea. It draws on its Wuxia influences but focuses on a character driven game with scope for incredible environments and a true sense of exploration.

  • Dozens of combat styles for characters to learn as well as countless other types of contest they can specialise in.
  • A setting outline designed for maximum creative freedom. Every group’s world will be different but will share in similar themes.
  • Multiple ways to support your allies from teaching them lessons in defeat and envigorating them through activities to training them in combat styles and preparing tea and food that will balance their elemental forces.

Arcane Heroes is a rules-light roleplaying game set into a fantasy world filled with magic, wonders and epic adventures.

Characters in Arcane Heroes are members of ancient bloodlines which have produced many great heroes (and dreadful villains) in the past. But the world has changed, the industrial revolution has shaken up the old order. The ancient bloodlines are all but forgotten, but in these dire and gloomy times, heroes are needed more than ever.

Arcane Heroes uses a simple dice pool mechanic and core rulebook contains the complete game rules, including character creation, combat, magic, equipment and monsters.

Chronicles of the Four Dragons

What is Chronicles of the Four Dragons?
Chronicles is a rules-lite, anime-style fantasy game which uses a pretty easy dice pool system and four classes: the Warrior which is attuned to Earth, the Archer which uses Air magic, the Monk who draws his power from Water and the Sorcerer who is a master of Fire magic.

The Dragon Empire
CotFD is set into the Dragon Empire, a vast nation based on medieval Japan and China. For many centuries it has been ruled by the Dragon Emperors who are descendants of the Four Elemental Dragons themselves. For a long time the empire prospered but recently things are starting to get out of hand. Barbarians attack the empire from the outside, while corrupt bureaucrats and local warlords attack it from within. But new heroes have arisen. They wield the power of the four elements and fight to restore peace and order in the Empire!


Resolute, Adventurer & Genius

Resolute, Adventurer & Genius was created by Andrew Modro and Jason Cabral of Blue Hex. They took the system I designed for WR&M to the next level and created an awesome pulp roleplaying game. I acted as Wyrm system advisor and did the layout for the PDF you can now download for free from this site.

Resolute, Adventurer & Genius is a simple, lightweight roleplaying game of pulp-style action and adventure. Explore lost ancient ruins! Thwart the plans of evildoers and madmen! This book contains the complete game rules, including character creation, combat, equipment and chase sequences as well as hints for playing pulp-style games in different decades, from the 1910s to the 1940s and beyond.

NO CLASSES
RAG is built on the Wyrm Roleplaying System and uses classic action-adventure fiction archetypes to help describe character capabilities. Players are not restricted to “classes” when designing their characters. By using attributes, skills and special talents, players are free to create whatever character concept they wish.

Thrilling Noir Stories is a storytelling or roleplaying game where the players impersonate private detectives, cops or other investigators from 1940s USA.

Thrilling Noir Stories was designed to allow the players to immerse in stories based on the pulp magazines from the first half of the 20th century or the movies of the “Film Noir” genre. If you have read the detective stories by Dashiel Hammett or Raymond Chandler, or movies based on those works, you probably know what we were aiming for.
It uses a simple task resolution mechanics and was created with a narrative gaming style in mind.
